Originating from Stockholm, Sweden, madnomad is a sustainable leisure sneaker brand inspired by minimalism. The brand's story is rooted in a love for nature and a deep concern for the environment.

madnomad represents a community that cares about the planet's ecology and embraces the concept of global citizenship. Whether it's physically "moving through crowds, strolling through streets," or spiritually "living in the moment, devoted to ideals," today's youth are beginning to measure the world in a "nomadic" way.

The madnomad Shanghai pop-up concept store—"Realm of Light Circulation"—draws inspiration from the brand's commitment to sustainable and circular principles. The space utilizing commonly recycled materials in an artistic manner to express the brand's ethos.

In this design, we aimed to merge the space with the brand's values, applying a minimalistic approach to the space itself. The entire space is completed with a wall for storage and an island installation.

We hope this design is honest and straightforward. The storage spaces are exposed, creating a genuine expression. We used stacked foam boxes to form the central island, contrasting recycled waste with our products to create a strong visual impact.

By making "superordinary" materials the main character of the space, we hope to inspire reflection on the concept of environmental symbiosis.
